Responsible Play

SkillQuest is committed to providing a safe, fair, and responsible contest experience. We provide tools and resources to help you stay in control of your contest participation and spending.

Our Commitment

While SkillQuest is a 100% skill-based contest platform with no element of chance, we recognize that responsible spending and healthy participation habits are important. We provide a full suite of tools to help you manage your time and budget on the platform. These tools are available in your account settings at any time, and we encourage every participant to use them.

Self-Exclusion Options

If you need a break from contests, you can activate a self-exclusion period. During this time, you will not be able to enter any paid contests.

24 Hours

A short break. Your account will be temporarily restricted from entering paid contests for 24 hours.

Automatically lifts after 24 hours.

7 Days

A week-long break. Take time to step back and reset. No paid contest entries for 7 days.

Cannot be shortened once activated.

30 Days

A full month off from paid contests. Gives you significant time to reflect on your participation.

Cannot be shortened once activated.

Permanent

Permanently exclude yourself from all paid contests. Your account balance will be returned to you.

Irreversible. Contact support to process.

To activate self-exclusion, go to Account Settings > Responsible Play > Self-Exclusion. Self-exclusion periods of 7 days or longer cannot be reversed or shortened once activated.

Deposit Limits

Set limits on how much you can deposit into your SkillQuest wallet. Limits help you budget your contest spending.

D

Daily Limit

Set the maximum amount you can deposit in a single day. Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the next day.

W

Weekly Limit

Set the maximum amount you can deposit in a rolling 7-day period. Provides a broader budget control beyond the daily limit.

M

Monthly Limit

Set the maximum amount you can deposit in a rolling 30-day period. The broadest level of deposit control available.

Limit changes: Decreasing a limit takes effect immediately. Increasing a limit requires a 24-hour cooling-off period before the new limit is active. This prevents impulsive increases.

Contest Entry Limits

In addition to deposit limits, you can set limits on the number of paid contests you can enter within a given time period.

Daily

Max contests per day

Weekly

Max contests per week

Monthly

Max contests per month

Once your contest entry limit is reached, you will not be able to enter additional paid contests until the limit period resets. Free practice contests are not affected by entry limits.

Time Reminders & Cool-Down

Session Time Reminders

SkillQuest will notify you after 60 minutes of continuous activity on the platform. The reminder is a non-blocking notification that lets you know how long you have been active and encourages you to take a break if needed.

Time Check

You have been active for 60 minutes. Consider taking a break.

Reminders repeat every 60 minutes. They can be customized in your account settings.

Cool-Down Suggestions

After 3 consecutive contests where you did not place in a prize-winning position, SkillQuest will suggest a cool-down period. This is a recommendation, not a restriction, designed to help you pause and reassess.

Cool-Down Suggestion

You have not placed in your last 3 contests. Consider taking a break or trying a practice contest.

You may choose to continue or take a break. Free practice contests are always available.

Warning Signs

If you recognize any of the following behaviors in yourself, we encourage you to use our responsible play tools or reach out for support.

Feeling stressed, anxious, or frustrated about contest outcomes
Neglecting responsibilities or relationships due to contest participation
Borrowing money or using funds earmarked for essentials to enter contests
